Albert L. Bross Jr. was born in Newark, New Jersey on June 29, 1921. He studied at Art Students League of New York, with Frank Vincent DuMond and briefly with G.W. Bridgeman, W. McNulty, and studied lithography with W. Barnet and later with B. Miller.

Bross, in addition to exhibiting paintings, drawings and graphics in group, regional, national and international exhibitions, has held over 120 one-man exhibitions throughout the Eastern United States. His paintings have been enthusiastically received and are included in museums and private and corporate collections across the country.

For about five years during the early1950’s he lectured for “Talens and Sons” (Holland), in Union, New Jersey, and later for Langnickle, Inc. in New York City, followed by a lecture circuit.

He was an art instructor for Art Center of the Oranges in East Orange, NJ; Cranford Art Association in Cranford, NJ; Livingston Adult Program, Livingston, NJ; YMCA and YWCA classes in Summit, NJ; The New Jersey Center for Visual Arts in Summit, NJ; as well as for many other organizations.
