Born 1936 in
Oakland, California, William E. Ryan resides in Bellevue, Washington. He
devotes full time to painting, subjects ranging from marine, land and city
scapes.
William graduated from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New
York. Prior, he studied at the California College for Arts and Crafts,
Oakland, California. He traveled throughout Europe for two years, while
painting and studying art. He is a member of the American Society of
Marine Artists, (ASMA), and is listed in "Who's Who in American Art,"
(18th edition) and in the Dictionary of Sea Painters, E.H.H. Archibald,
(2nd edition).
